On Monday, a ceremony was held in Bishkek to launch the fifth volume of the book "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China." The event was attended by approximately 300 representatives from political parties, media outlets, think tanks, and other areas of public life.

Participants noted that discussions about the Chinese president Xi Jinping's latest book are of great importance for deepening mutual understanding and exchange between China and Kyrgyzstan, as well as among member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The event also took place during the organization's 25th anniversary celebrations.

The book offers a comprehensive explanation of the theory and practice of Chinese modernization and presents China's vision and proposals for building a community with a shared future for mankind.

Former Kyrgyz President Roza Otunbayeva said that the idea of building a community with a shared future for mankind, proposed by President Xi Jinping, has gained global influence.

According to her, high-quality cooperation within the Belt and Road Initiative has brought new opportunities for development to Kyrgyzstan and helped the country become an increasingly important transportation and trade hub connecting Eurasia.

Otunbayeva emphasized that building roads is essential for mutual connectivity. "However, it is equally important to build bridges of trust through books, education, culture, academic exchanges, and interpersonal relationships," she added.

Kyrgyz State Secretary Arslan Koichiev said that China has gained valuable experience in adapting Marxism to its own national conditions.

He noted that reading the works of President Xi Jinping helps people better understand 21st-century Marxism and also encourages reflection on the relationship between Kyrgyzstan and China, as well as the surrounding world.

Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Piao Yangfan, said that China and Kyrgyzstan, as founding members of the organization, have made significant contributions to its development.

She recalled that the fifth volume of the book Xi Jinping: The Governance of China contains important speeches on building a community of shared future for China and Central Asia, and a community of shared future for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

During the event, the Chinese side presented Kyrgyz guests with the third volume of the book Xi Jinping: The Governance of China in Kyrgyz and the fifth volume in Russian.

Experts and academics then discussed Chinese modernization, building a community with a shared future for mankind, global governance initiatives, cooperation within the Belt and Road Initiative, and exchange between different civilizations.
