In Jakarta, Indonesia, a promotional event for the English edition of the fifth volume of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" was held on Tuesday. The event was attended by more than 200 representatives from various sectors in both China and Indonesia.

According to attendees, the fifth volume reflects the latest developments in Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, and it is an authoritative work that helps the international community better understand contemporary China.

China is currently entering a new stage of its 15th five-year plan for the period 2026-2030, while Indonesia is moving towards the vision of "Golden Indonesia 2045." The cooperation between the two countries in strategically aligning and deepening development cooperation, according to attendees, will bring tangible benefits to both nations and will also strengthen the role of the Global South and contribute to improving the global governance system.

The Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly, Ahmad Muzani, stated that the book launch created an important platform for deepening dialogue between China and Indonesia.

He expressed hope that the publication would help Indonesian government officials, academics, and young people better understand China's path of development and its philosophy of governance.

The Minister for Transmigration, Muhammad Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanegara, stated that during his visit to China, he witnessed efforts to eradicate poverty through a people-centered development strategy.

He added that China's key concepts and innovative approaches in the areas of poverty alleviation, rural development, and coordinated regional development provide Indonesia with a systematic solution that can serve as inspiration for organized resettlement of people and accelerate the development of the eastern regions of the country.

Participating experts and academics also discussed topics such as development opportunities during the 15th five-year plan, common modernization, and experiences in poverty reduction.
