Prague – Roman Blaško, Secretary-General of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, delivered a message to the Communist Party of China on the occasion of its founding anniversary. In his speech, he praised the historical development of China under the leadership of the communist party and expressed interest in further developing relations between the two political entities. At the beginning of his address, Blaško congratulated the Chinese communists on this significant anniversary and also greeted General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and President of the People's Republic of China, Comrade Xi Jinping.
“I am very pleased and honored to address the ceremonial meeting of the Communist Party of China. Allow me, on behalf of myself and the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, to express my sincere congratulations on this important anniversary, and also to greet Comrade Xi Jinping. I wish the Chinese people and its leadership much success in their future work and development,” said Roman Blaško.
In his speech, he recalled that the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, like the Chinese party, was founded in 1921. According to him, however, it is the Chinese communist party that has achieved extraordinary results during the past century, which, in his opinion, have no equal in world politics.
“The Communist Party of China has accomplished something that only a few people have managed to do in modern history. It has transformed a vast and poor country into an economic power that today helps shape global economic development. It has built extensive infrastructure, strengthened state sovereignty, developed industry, transportation, the banking sector, and modern technologies. We consider its ability for long-term strategic planning to be inspiring,” Blaško said.
The Secretary-General of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia also highlighted the social dimension of China's development. In his speech, he pointed out the fight against poverty and the extensive modernization of the country.
“We believe that eradicating extreme poverty, modernizing society as a whole, and emphasizing long-term stability are achievements that deserve attention. For our party, the Communist Party of China is an important example of how to combine economic development, infrastructure construction, and strengthening the state's position on the international stage,” he said.
At the end of his speech, Roman Blaško expressed support for continued cooperation between the two parties.
“It is a great honor for us to develop mutual contacts, and we believe that our cooperation will continue to grow. We wish the Communist Party of China much success in achieving its future plans and goals. We are convinced that friendly relations based on mutual respect can benefit both parties and our nations,” concluded Roman Blaško, Secretary-General of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia.
The speech represents a statement of political support and appreciation for the development of the People's Republic of China from the perspective of the leadership of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia. It emphasizes primarily the country's economic transformation, its growing international standing, and the interest in continuing contacts between the two parties.
