Martin Teyrovský, chairman of the Czech Friends of BRICS, said in his speech that the Czech Republic can bring experience in water purification, soil and agricultural support to cooperation with China. According to him, the country has technologies that can also help in finding alternatives to heavy chemical fertilisers. „Our Republic can contribute in the field of water and soil purification,“ řekl.

Teyrovský warned that the lack of fertiliser and the decline in food self-sufficiency could be a growing problem in the future. This is where Czech know-how in the field of nanotechnology and plant growth support can play a role. „We need to look for new ways,“ he said. He added that he believes the Czech Republic has the technology for such a direction.

In addition to technology, he mentioned a broader view of future developments. He expressed his belief that the current tensions and conflicts can be replaced by calmer years and that China, in his view, is leading the world towards cooperation. „China has taken the reins and is taking it where everyone needs it to go. On cooperation, on positive things,“ prohlásil.

He identified education and knowledge exchanges as another possible area of cooperation. According to Teyrovský, it would be beneficial if Czech students could travel more to China to get acquainted with its technologies and university environment. In his opinion, there may be room for further development of relations between the two countries.
