President of Sierra Leone praises China's zero-tariff policy for African countries

Julius Maada Bio, President of Sierra Leone, expressed support for China's policy of zero tariffs for African countries. He said that these measures allow African partners to share the development opportunities offered by the huge Chinese market.

As of 1 May this year, duty-free treatment for products from all 53 African countries that maintain diplomatic relations with China came into force. In an interview with China Media Group (CMG), Bio said he appreciates the way China is bringing the benefits of its development to Africa.
