At the annual conference of the Boao 2026 Asia Forum, it was said that China's emphasis on quality development and deepening regional cooperation contributes to greater stability in an otherwise uncertain world.

Executive Director of the APEC Secretariat Eduardo Pedrosa said that China's initiative to build an Asia-Pacific community with a shared future is based on concrete and practical steps. He also stressed that the open development of the Hainan Free Trade Area is an inspiring and easily transferable model that can greatly facilitate regional trade.

Vice-President of the Executive Board of the International Chamber of Commerce Holger Binmann described Hainan's free trade zones as stable, well-connected and full of opportunities. He said their open approach supports the maintenance of global economic openness while helping Chinese companies to penetrate more deeply into European markets.
