In Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, a reading forum dedicated to the English edition of the fifth volume of the book "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" was held on Thursday. The event was attended by approximately 200 guests from China and Malaysia, including representatives from publishing houses, think tanks, and media outlets.
Participants stated that the publication summarizes valuable experiences in the areas of state development and governance and presents a philosophy of governance that reflects the wisdom of the East.
They noted that the exchange of experiences in state governance between China and Malaysia through the book is of utmost importance in a time of significant geopolitical changes and a transformation of the global governance system. It contributes to deepening friendship, mutual trust, mutually beneficial cooperation, and the building of a strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future.
The Speaker of the Malaysian House of Representatives, Johari Abdul, stated that the book provides a comprehensive overview of China's development philosophy, key strategic goals, and the country's position in the world. It helps readers better understand the logic behind China's political decisions.
According to Johari, the publication represents not only a window for Malaysia to understand China, but also an important foundation for long-term and stable development of bilateral relations.
The Malaysian Minister of Transport, Anthony Loke Siew Fook, emphasized that the passages dedicated to high-quality development, openness, and the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative provide valuable insights for further strengthening connectivity between the two countries.

With the ongoing implementation of the RCEP agreement and the development of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0, relations between Malaysia and China are entering a new phase of coordinated development. Broad opportunities are opening up, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, the digital economy, and green development.
