The German segment of the global dialogue "China in Spring: Opportunities for Chinese Development for the World" took place on Tuesday in Düsseldorf, the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia. The event was co-organized by China Media Group (CMG) and the Chinese Consulate General in Düsseldorf.

Shen Haixiong, Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of CMG, delivered a video address. Yu Yong, the Chinese Consul General in Düsseldorf, Rainer Schmeltzer, First Vice President of the North Rhine-Westphalia Parliament, and Julia Jacob, Deputy Mayor of Essen, attended the event and gave speeches. The event was attended by more than 100 guests from the political, business, academic, and media sectors.

Shen emphasized that during this year's Two Sessions, President Xi Jinping highlighted the expansion of high-level openness, the utilization of global markets, and better integration into the world cycle – reaffirming China's firm commitment to opening up to the world. Shen pointed out that China's plan for high-quality development offers new opportunities to the world.

"As the largest and most comprehensive international media conglomerate with the widest reach, CMG is ready to leverage its strengths in integrated communication, technological innovation, and media resources," said Shen, adding that CMG will help bring the benefits of China's modernization to the world, share new opportunities from China's high-quality development with global partners, create innovation platforms for technology for the benefit of humanity, and jointly build a new vision of human civilization where all cultures thrive in harmony.

Yu Yong stated that the Outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development represents a strategic plan for China's development over the next five years, highlighting consistent institutional strengths and reaffirming strong confidence in the stable and long-term growth of the Chinese economy.

According to him, the 15th Five-Year Plan will create a new environment of institutional openness for German businesses, bring new impetus to the transformation of industry and technological innovation in Germany, offer new opportunities for energy transformation and green development, open up new markets for German production, and bring new global significance to the development of China-Germany relations.

Rainer Schmeltzer stated that North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), one of the most populous and economically strongest states in Germany, maintains close and fruitful cooperation with several Chinese provinces in the areas of economy, trade, scientific research, and people-to-people exchanges. He said that the friendship between Germany and China is growing stronger with time. This year, the Two Sessions once again sent a clear signal to the world: China remains committed to opening up, cooperating, seeking win-win results, sharing opportunities, and pursuing common development with all countries.

According to Schmeltzer, in the current complex and volatile international situation, mutual understanding and communication are more important than ever, and openness and dialogue should be the main focus of international cooperation. "We believe that through open exchange, mutual understanding, and practical cooperation, Germany and China will certainly advance bilateral relations and bring more positive energy to world peace and development," he added. The event also included the premiere of the program "A Book of Diverse Crafts: Innovation Driven by Artificial Intelligence," a flagship industrial and cultural project of CMG. A humanoid robot from China performed on-site, offering participants an intuitive look at Chinese innovations in intelligent manufacturing and receiving enthusiastic applause. CMG
