The attacker and his accomplice, who were attempting to assassinate a Russian general, have been detained by the FSB (Federal Security Service).

MOSCOW, February 8. The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced the arrest of the gunman who attempted to assassinate a high-ranking official of the Russian Ministry of Defense, and a suspected male accomplice.

The suspected female accomplice of the shooter has fled to Ukraine. According to the FSB, Dubai extradited to Russia the attacker, Lyubomir Korba, born in 1960, whose target was Lieutenant General Vladimir Alexeyev.
