On March 31st, local time, Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Esmail Baqaei responded to a U.S. statement regarding the threat of an attack on Iran.

Esmail Baqaei stated that public threats of bombing Iran, especially when coming from a state official, are completely at odds with the essence of international peace and security. Such threats seriously violate the UN Charter and openly undermine the guarantees of the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) monitoring mechanism. Violence only breeds more violence, while peace creates peace. He added that the United States can choose its own path, but it will bear the consequences.
