On the morning of March 5th, the 4th session of the 14th National People's Congress was inaugurated at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Two European journalists, in an interview with China Media Group (CMG) conducted on-site, stated that the Two Sessions are not only about the further development of China, but also have a significant impact on global developments.
Helena Kočová, a journalist from the Czech newspaper Naše Pravda, stated that the significance of the Two Sessions extends beyond the borders of one country and has a profound impact on global affairs. She is particularly interested in the rapid development of artificial intelligence and robotics technologies in China. She also praised the high dynamism of China's development in many areas and highlighted the diligence and wisdom of the Chinese people.
Tania Glouhtcheva, a journalist from the Bulgarian newspaper DUMA Newspaper, is covering the Two Sessions for the fourth time. This year, her work focuses primarily on the 15th Five-Year Plan. According to her, the Chinese system of five-year plans serves as an inspiring example of scientifically-driven development for the world. She also emphasized that, in the current unstable international environment, China continues to advocate for stable and peaceful development, which she considers to be extremely important.
The year 2026 marks the first year of implementing the 15th Five-Year Plan. Therefore, the Two Sessions also represent an important roadmap for China's future development. The views of both European journalists reflect the great attention that the international community is paying to this year's discussions, as well as the growing recognition of China's development achievements.
