More than 100 representatives from European small and medium-sized enterprises – often referred to as "hidden champions" – have arrived in China for the China-Germany Forum of European Hidden Champions 2025. These companies, while not widely known to the public, are global leaders in their respective industries and are increasingly seeking partnerships and opportunities in China.
Representatives from the companies emphasized that they are fascinated by **China's approach to innovation**, which they consider to be **complex and strategically well-thought-out**. Many companies are considering not only **establishing a presence**, but also **building assembly lines or production facilities** on the ground – with the aim of increasing their **market share in China**.
“We are receiving inquiries from Chinese scientists, doctors, and business partners. We feel that China is ready not only to buy, but also to **collaborate on production and development**,” it was said at the forum. Representatives called for the creation of **joint teams focused on key areas** and the harmonization of regulatory frameworks.
The forum also served as an opportunity to commemorate the **50th anniversary of China-European cooperation**, with **machinery, high-tech, and specialized technologies** being identified as some of the most promising sectors.
