With Slovakian President Peter Pellegrini, he visited an exhibition of Czechoslovak travel posters at the Czech National Building and then jointly attended a concert by Slovak, Czech, and American artists at Lincoln Center. At the end of the program in New York, Petr Pavel presented one of this year's Global Citizen Awards from the Atlantic Council to his counterpart, as requested by Finnish President Alexander Stubb, during a formal evening.

From New York, the president traveled to Nebraska, where he met with representatives of the Nebraska National Guard, which has been cooperating with the Czech Army for over 30 years in areas such as cyber defense and flight training. At the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, home to the oldest program of Czech studies in the United States, he spoke to students and answered their questions. The president also met with Governor Jim Pillen and visited the city of Wilber, known as the "Czech capital of the USA," where he thanked his compatriots for preserving Czech culture and traditions.
