WARSAW - Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Poland would not hesitate to shoot down any object that violates its airspace. But he stressed the need for caution in cases where the situation is not clear-cut. Tusk said on Monday that Poland is ready to use force against objects that clearly violate its airspace. "We will decide to shoot down flying objects if they violate our territory and fly over Poland - there is absolutely no discussion about that," he told a news conference, according to Reuters. - 24 September 2025 The Government of the Czech Republic has decided to increase pensions from January by an average of CZK 668 per month
At its meeting on Wednesday 24 September 2025, the Czech Government decided on several key measures that will come into force at the beginning of next year. The most significant change is an increase in pensions. As of 1 January 2026, the average self-funded pensioner will see an increase of CZK 668 per month, a rise of 3.1 per cent. Read more here

One year before the elections to the state parliament in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the political map of the state is changing significantly. According to the latest Infratest dimap poll for the NDR, the Alternative for Germany (AfD) is the strongest party by a wide margin and is consolidating its position at the top.
