The Ministry of Regional Development (MMR) hosted the fourth roundtable of the analytical company CEEC Research this year, entitled: Business asks, the Minister answers, and vice versa. Petr Kulhánek led a discussion with representatives of construction companies, building material manufacturers and developers. The debate focused mainly on the comprehensive recodification of spatial planning, the upcoming amendment to the Public Procurement Act, affordable housing and strategic deposits of construction raw materials.
"We reflected what has been heard from business for a long time. Thank you to all participants for their substantive and open cooperation throughout the year. Critical and positive suggestions helped us in making decisions and preparing instruments not only for housing policy," said Minister Petr Kulhánek.

Further in the TS:
- The Minister learned from business representatives many reservations about the current state of procurement documentation in public procurement. The most frequent was the pressure for the lowest price - not even the manufacturers of building materials can incorporate interesting solutions and more durable materials into these projects.
- One solution is to unify construction contracts - because of fragmented contract templates (each municipality is different), transaction costs are rising.
- The Ministry of Regional Development prepared the material Comprehensive Recodification of Spatial Planning, which was presented and discussed as a basis at the June round table.
