BUDAPEST - June 26, 2025 (MTI) - Manfred Weber, chairman of the European People's Party, "cannot threaten the Hungarian government or give instructions to its prime minister," Viktor Orbán stressed in a post published on his social media page on Thursday. The prime minister wrote: The Brussels politician's statement that he is fed up with it and unanimous decisions is not surprising at all.
Mr Weber is accustomed to giving instructions to his puppet belonging to the European People's Party, the Tiso Party, and to its President. He blackmails them with the institution of immunity and exonerates them of their crimes under common law, Viktor Orbán writes in the article, adding that "although Mr Weber is a known Hungarian phobe, he cannot afford to ignore the opinion of more than two million Hungarians on the question of Ukraine."
In an interview published on Wednesday on the website of a German newspaper, Manfred Weber urged cooperation from a coalition of the willing and, according to Magyar Nemzet, said: "I am particularly tired of Viktor Orbán dancing on the heads of European citizens. Europe's ability to act depends on whether the principle of unanimity can be abolished."
