PRAGUE - The government has approved the mission of Czech astronaut Aleš Svoboda to the International Space Station (ISS), with costs of CZK 2 billion spread over three years. The Transport Ministry said in a press release today.
According to the Office, the investment will pay for itself several times over, as the mission will lead to the strengthening of the Czech economy, science and education. The ministry expects the Svoboda mission to take place in late 2027 and early 2028. It has already selected 14 research experiments for the mission.
