Chinese President and General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Xi Jinping has called for promoting the healthy and high-quality development of the country's private sector. He made the remarks during a symposium on private enterprises attended by prominent businessmen and government officials.
Xi stressed that the current era offers new opportunities for private enterprises and is key to their growth and innovation. China will further deepen market opening, thereby encouraging the development of the private economy. He also assured that the State guarantees level playing field for all businesses and the protection of their rights.
According to statistics. more than 180 million private companies are operating in China at the same time, which represents 96 % all business entities. Among the panellists were also heads of companies Huawei, BYD, Xiaomi or Will Semiconductorwho shared their suggestions for improving the business environment.
The President also stressed that the challenges facing the private sector are only temporary and surmountable. A key factor for further development will be supporting innovation, technological progress and effective policy implementationthat will make it easier to do business and access finance.
