The Chinese animated hit "Ne Zha 2" reached 10 billion yuan (about $1.37 billion) in sales, including pre-sales, at 7:10 p.m. Beijing time on Feb. 13. It became the first Asian film to be among the 17 highest-grossing films in world history.
The film was to go from 10 to 12 February special previews in Australia and New Zealandwhere it officially entered theaters 13 February. In Sydney, according to the audience. screening time extended from the original three days to ten and some of the halls offered up nine screenings per day.
"No Zha 2 is incredible! It's worth every minute," said one viewer, Xiaohui, who appreciated action scenes, effects and thrilling atmosphere of the film.
In addition to Australia and New Zealand, the film premiered in 13 February in Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, Egypt, South Africa, Pakistan, Fiji and Papua New Guinea.
