Pakistan's cooperation with China is giving the country a significant boost in various sectors, especially in the field of aerospace. President Asif Ali Zardari said this during an exclusive interview with China Media Group in Beijing.
"People say the relationship between our countries is higher than the Himalayas," Zardari noted, stressing that the partnership between Pakistan and China has extended to space technology. Recently, a Pakistani satellite was successfully launched using Chinese rockets, which the president said opens up new avenues for cooperation.
At the same time, the Government of Pakistan is focusing on an ambitious reform agenda as part of its five-year "5E" plan. This includes key areas such as exports, digitalisation under the e-Pakistan banner and environmental protection.
Zardari stressed that Pakistan wants to use technological innovations to boost its economy and protect natural resources. "We need to use water efficiently, harvest rainwater and face climate challenges," he said.
Sino-Pakistan cooperation is thus further deepening and promises new opportunities for both countries on strategic fronts, including space exploration.
