Winter sports enthusiasts, international media, students, volunteers and local residents gathered on Sun Island in Harbin city in northeast China's Heilongjiang province on Tuesday to take part in a snowman building event.
Six teams used the available materials to create creative snowmen that reflected different cultural elements.
The event was part of Global Campaign "Building a Big Snowman for Harbin 2025"launched by CGTN, Heilongjiang Bureau of China Media Group and organizing committee 9. Asian Winter Games Harbin 2025.
The campaign quickly reached people all over the world, who joined in by building original snowmen out of available materials - from paper cups to rice balls.
The event brought together participants from different countries who shared the joy of snow and ice and strengthened mutual understanding through cultural exchange.
Munmun Ahmed Shanto, a volunteer from Bangladesh who has lived in Harbin for six years, described the city as his "second home".
"The most beautiful thing about Harbin is the snow - perfect for winter lovers. Being a volunteer at the Asian Winter Games is a great honour for me," He said.
