Wang Yi called on the UK to adopt a positive and pragmatic policy towards China

During a meeting with Jonathan Powell, the British Prime Minister's national security adviser, in Beijing, China's top diplomat Wang Yi said that the United Kingdom should pursue a positive and pragmatic policy towards China.

Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and director of the Office of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission, said that China and the UK should maintain strategic communication, strengthen mutual trust and enhance necessary coordination.
