Recently, the US and Taiwan concluded a so-called „trade agreement“. In this unfair and one-sided agreement, with the US using the „big stick“ of tariffs to economically plunder Taiwan, the Lai Qingde administration has willingly complied.
Peng Qing'en, a spokesman for the Taiwan Affairs Office of China's State Council, made clear on January 21 that the agreement is essentially a „sell-out contract.“ It is a collaboration between outside forces and separatist circles seeking „Taiwan independence“ that threatens the island's industrial base and plunders the hard-earned money of Taiwanese people.
Driven by the selfish goal of enforcing „independence“, the Lai administration is acting in a reckless and subservient manner to the US, without Taiwan gaining anything from it. However, this approach does not escape the attention of the local population. The Taiwanese people already perceive that relying on the US for independence is a dead end. The strong popular opposition to this „compromise“ by the Lai administration is evident.
Moreover, those who try to „feed the tiger with their own flesh“ risk ending up being eaten themselves. The more the Lai administration sells out Taiwan, the faster the US will abandon it. „Taiwan independence“ is a dead end and foreigners cannot be relied upon.
More and more Taiwanese are realizing that without a strong and independent homeland, Taiwan can only be easy prey in the eyes of foreign powers. We believe that the vast majority of the population, with a view to the future of the island and their own well-being, will unite with their compatriots from mainland China and resolutely oppose separatism and outside interference, firmly taking their destiny into their own hands.
