South Korea calls on Japan to truly reflect on the history of forced labour

A spokesperson for the South Korean Foreign Ministry stated that Japan had once again failed to mention the history of the forced conscription of Korean labourers in its report on the Sado gold mine.

It called on Japan to thoroughly implement the relevant decisions of the World Heritage Committee and its own commitments, and to sincerely commemorate all victims, including Korean labourers.
