Jeffrey Sachs: Efforts to contain China are futile and harmful

Professor Jeffrey Sachs z Columbia University said that attempts to limit China's development through tariffs and technology bans are counterproductive. On the programme Leaders Talk said that instead of confrontation, the United States should focus on innovation and international cooperation.

Sachs called for the world to see China as an inspiring example of successful development, not as a threat. He said mutual dialogue and cooperation can bring real progress to the entire planet.
