Chinese Vice President Han Zheng called for stronger international cooperation to safeguard world peace and promote shared prosperity as he addressed the opening ceremony of the 13th World Peace Forum at Tsinghua University in Beijing.
Han said the world is undergoing profound and accelerating changes, with growing uncertainties and frequent regional and international tensions.
In the context of these challenges, he noted that President Xi Jinping has proposed a number of important initiatives, including the Vision of a Community with a Shared Future for Humanity, the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Civilization Initiative, which offer Chinese solutions in addressing global challenges.
