In the Kazakh capital Astana on March 14, a discussion forum, "China in Spring: Sharing Opportunities with the World", which was attended by more than 60 representatives of politics, business and media from China and Kazakhstan. The main topics were the opportunities arising from China's quality development, technology cooperation and the Belt and Road Initiative.
In a video message, China Media Group President Shen Haixiong stressed that China's development is linked to global progress and that instead of isolation, the world should choose openness and mutual cooperation. He also announced the establishment of a new media platform to share Chinese experience and knowledge.
Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan Han Chunlin recalled that China's GDP grew by 5 % in 2024, and called China the biggest driver of global economic growth.
Erkin Abil, a member of the Kazakh Parliament, highlighted the growing strategic partnership and trust between the two countries. He believes that cooperation based on equality and mutual benefit will continue to grow.
QazInnovations Chairman Sanat Zholdykhan praised China's advances in high technology and highlighted cooperation in the communications, renewable energy, artificial intelligence and digital agriculture sectors as key drivers for further growth in Kazakhstan's economy.
