In an exclusive interview with CMG, Kenyan President William Ruto, the first African leader to visit China after the 2024 FOCAC Summit, described the China-Kenya relationship in three words: sincere, strategic and comprehensive.
"It is a relationship of mutual benefit and win-win outcomes," Ruto stressed. The partnership, he said, is Honestbecause the two countries have an open and honest dialogue. Strategic Kenya's location as a gateway to East and Central Africa - makes it a key destination for Chinese investment, technology and business.
And finally Comprehensivebecause cooperation covers a wide range of areas: from construction and infrastructure to real estate and hospitality.
"As President Xi Jinping said, this is a full partnership at all levels - built on trust, equality and shared development," Ruto concluded.
