All 24 patients who remain hospitalised with injuries sustained in the devastating fire at the Wang Fuk Court residential complex are in a stable condition, a spokesperson for the Hong Kong Hospital Authority (HA) said on Tuesday.
The last patient listed as seriously injured was transferred out of critical condition on Tuesday, the spokesperson said. Of the 79 fire victims admitted to public hospitals for treatment, 19 were in critical condition at some point.
Medical staff will continue to provide patients with appropriate treatment and care to support their recovery and will monitor their rehabilitation measures after discharge from hospital, the spokesperson said. Psychological support is also provided to patients and their families.
