According to a recent US media report, which cited data from a UK-based business travel management company, the number of business travel bookings to the United States from around the world fell significantly in April - by a total of 19.3 %. The most significant decline was seen in European countries, where the number of business trips to the US fell by an average of 26 %.
The report states that these figures indicate a loss of confidence of Europeans towards the US. Uncertainty in transatlantic relations, caused by US tariff policy among other things, is leading European companies to seek more stable alternative markets outside the United States.
