Mao Ning said that the BRICS cooperation mechanism is the most important platform for solidarity and cooperation between emerging markets and developing countries in the world today, and is an important force for promoting an equal and orderly multilateral world and inclusive economic globalization.
The meeting of heads of state marks the first summit since new member Indonesia and the ten partner member countries joined BRICS, and will bring together a range of emerging market and developing countries, international and regional organisations. China is willing to consolidate the BRICS strategic partnership with relevant parties and uphold multilateralism, promote common development, improve global governance, and promote the quality development of major cooperation within BRICS, Mao Ning added.
