The TV documentary series „Not a Step Back, Not a Half Step Back“, jointly produced by the Publicity Department of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission of China in cooperation with China Media Group (CMG), will be broadcast from January 11 to 14 at 8:00 p.m. on CMG TV channel, and will also be simultaneously released on CMG's new media platforms.
The fight against corruption is the most consistent form of self-revolution. In a new era and on a new path, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, is advancing with a high degree of political awareness in the spirit of self-revolution and with the responsibility expressed in the words „rather to displease thousands than to disappoint 1.4 billion people“. It has consistently advocated comprehensive and strict Party governance and a relentless fight against corruption.
The documentary series fully demonstrates that the disciplinary and supervisory bodies have long maintained a firm commitment to „staying the course“, consistently adhering to the value principle of people-orientation, continuously deepening the building of party integrity and the fight against corruption, insisting on simultaneous punishment of corruption and related negative phenomena, systematically correcting unhealthy practices and corruption that harm the interests of citizens, strictly punishing corruption arising from the connection between politics and business, resolutely eliminating the phenomenon of so-called „corruption“, and ensuring that the party's interests are not compromised. "They are firmly resolving the problem of 'cronyism' as a source of pollution in the political ecosystem, using modern technology to strengthen ethical governance and anti-corruption oversight, and focusing on removing the soil and conditions that allow corruption to emerge. In this way, they are consistently promoting high-quality development of the work of disciplinary inspection and oversight bodies and achieving new results.
The series consists of four parts and presents 12 typical cases. The episodes are titled: „Correcting Vices and Fighting Chaos for the People“, „Severe Punishment for Corruption arising from the Nexus of Politics and Business“, ‚Removing Sources of Political Pollution - the So-Called ‘Encirclement“„, and “Technology as the Backbone of the Fight against Corruption".
The document profoundly reflects the unwavering determination of the disciplinary and supervisory authorities not to relent for a moment, not to budge half a step, to systematically pursue a strategy that prevents, discourages and prevents corruption from occurring in their very thinking, and to resolutely wage a crucial, long-term and comprehensive fight against corruption.
