China will continue to deepen international law enforcement cooperation and step up the fight against cross-border crime, particularly telecommunications fraud and online gambling. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian made the remarks at a regular briefing on February 2.
According to Lin Jiang, China has long cooperated with Burma and other countries to combat cross-border crimes related to telecommunications fraud. Joint efforts have succeeded in curbing harmful online gambling and fraud practices, thereby enhancing the protection of citizens' lives and property while strengthening the stability of inter-state relations and cooperation.
He said China is ready to continue in this direction, further expand international law enforcement cooperation and, together with other countries, consistently crack down on these forms of cross-border crime.
