Here is a brief overview of the most important news in tax, accounting and employment law. The changes concern meal allowances, travel allowances, flat-rate tax for self-employed persons, wages, agreements, benefits and new obligations of employers. There is also information on the single declaration, tax reliefs and VAT.
- Foreign boarding fees have risen. For the first time in a long time, it has been increased to 50 euros for Germany. For Slovakia it is 40 euros, for the USA 70 dollars.
- Domestic meal and travel allowances have grown up. Count on the rate of 5,90 CZK/km, board over 18 hours 370 CZK.
- The highest tax-advantaged meal voucher is CZK 235. This corresponds to a contribution of 129.50 CZK.
- Tightening of health relief for caring parents. You will now only be covered by the national insurance if you are caring for at least one child under the age of 7. You must also notify the health insurer in advance, and you cannot claim retrospectively. However, the length of the child's attendance at nursery school is no longer monitored and the caring parent can earn an income.
- Tradesmen, reconfigure your payments. The flat tax in the first band is 9984 CZK. The minimum health for self-employed persons is 3306 CZK and social 5720 CZK.
- Uniform monthly reporting employers run in a transitional mode. Sharp operation will come in April.

- The ČSSZ advises: Check employee info on the ePortal. Log in missing employees and log out those who have left. This is in preparation for single reporting.
- Employers' obligations are removed. For January, you no longer submit a premium statement or a statement of income from employment contracts.
- Remuneration of the Executive Non-Resident subject to advance tax 15 or 23 %. The change applies to members of corporate bodies who are individuals. Until last year, 15% was subject to withholding tax.
- The minimum wage rose to CZK 22 400. This corresponds to an hourly rate of 134.40 CZK. You must earn at least CZK 11,200 to get the child tax bonus.
- Agreements below CZK 12,000 are not subject to levies. If you don't sign a taxpayer declaration, you pay 15% withholding tax.
- The average wage is CZK 48 967. You will pay 23% income tax on your monthly salary of CZK 146,901.
- Employee options are exempt. An employee doesn't give until he sells.
- A stricter definition of exempt benefits applies. It must not be in the nature of wages, remuneration or compensation for loss of income.
- Members of the cooperative can deduct the interest on the cooperative loan. A limit of CZK 150,000 per household applies.
- Superdose replaces four doses. It does not count towards income for the spouse's allowance.
- Employers contribute to old age. The compulsory contribution is paid by employees in hazardous occupations.
- Are you subtracting gifts? For both last year and this year you can still claim up to 30 % of the tax base.
- The limit is cancelled for the exemption of securities. If you meet the time test, the CZK 40 million cap does not apply. It remains for crypto.
- Some financial activities are not exempt from VAT. This includes, for example, the procurement of collections, keeping records of investment instruments and the collection of television and radio fees.
- Limit on so-called insignificant claims increased to 50 000 CZK. You can issue a full valuation allowance up to this amount.
- Small accounting units no longer need to audit. The thresholds for classification as an entity have also changed.
- Financial authorities cooperate in enforcement. If you owe money to the state, it may be collected by an office other than the one in your town.
- You can pay your taxes on the weekend. The Czech National Bank accepts immediate payments.
- Tax echo IV will focus on gambling. It will alert taxpayers to errors in the taxation of winnings.
- The government plans to roll back tax credits. They will focus on the student discount, tuition fee discount and spouse discount.
- Barbers and masseurs must report to the sanitation department. They have to report the beginning, end and changes in their activities, otherwise they can be fined up to CZK 1 million.
