The second round of voting by the Czech Music Academy has taken place and the nominees for the Coca-Cola Angel Awards 2024 have been decided. Just like last year, Viktor Sheen has collected the most nominations, while Kateřina Marie Tichá, Vladimír Mišík, Monkey Business, Bert & Friends, Smack and P Money have a chance to add two Andels to their collections. The names of the winners from the final voting round will be announced during the Angel ceremony on Saturday 5 April.
As the so-called shortlists have already announced, Viktor Sheen is the artist who with his album Impostor Syndrome dominated this year's Angel nominations and defended his position in the Song, Solo Artist and Rap categories. Two nominations each went to Vladimir Misik (Album, Solo Artist), Kateřina Marie Tichá (Album, Solo Artist), Smack and P Money (Joint Project, Rap) and the groups Monkey Business (Album, Group) and Bert & Friends (Group, Music Video).
The three nominees are currently known in a total of fifteen categories, both major and genre. Out of the sixteen, only one category, the Hall of Fame, has no nominees - its winner, chosen by academics in the first voting round, will be announced together with the others on 5 April 2025, when the Coca-Cola Angel Awards 2024 ceremony will take place in Prague's Křižík Pavilions. The ceremony will be broadcast live in prime time on ČT1 and on the Angel Awards YouTube channel.
