Headaches are one of the most common types of pain in the human population. Sometimes they are merely a symptom accompanying a general illness, while at other times they are a pain that afflicts the sufferer almost permanently.
It may be accompanied by various symptoms. If the pain occurs acutely and is very severe, has a „stabbing character“ and does not subside, is accompanied by nausea and vomiting, then call a doctor, as it may be a serious brain haemorrhage. We should also never underestimate traumatic headaches, especially if they are accompanied by vomiting and memory loss. This is most often a concussion, which again requires medical treatment and hospitalisation. Another serious illness that is accompanied by headaches and requires medical treatment is acute meningitis. It is accompanied by high fever, neck stiffness, and stiffness of the neck muscles. In practice, this means that the person cannot bend their head forward to their chest or bend their back to their knees while sitting. Sometimes this disease can be accompanied by weakness, nausea, vomiting, slurred speech, or small red spots called petechiae. This is a condition that requires immediate medical attention, preferably from an emergency service. There are many diseases that cause headaches, but a more detailed analysis is beyond the scope of this article.
Localisation of headaches according to Chinese and holistic medicine
- frontal pain – overloading of the bladder and kidney circuits, excess yin – excessive intake of yin foods (sugar, southern fruits, alcohol)
- Nape of the neck – excessive intake of yang foods (meat, smoked meats, salty foods, eggs), overloading of the bladder meridian, lack of fluids
- sleep areas – liver and gallbladder overload, excessive intake of fatty foods, stress
- area under the eyes – stomach meridian overload, jawbone diseases, connection to the large intestine
- deep inside the head – stomach overload
- pain associated with occurrence at a certain time of day or night – organ overload according to organ clock
- Headaches after eating – food allergies, intestinal dysbiosis
Diochi preparations and headaches
We tend to use Diochi preparations for chronic headaches, which conventional medicine is unable to treat effectively. By detoxifying the body and adjusting lifestyle, alternative medicine can literally work miracles. Sometimes headaches can be treated relatively easily, especially those that do not last long. If the patient has been suffering from pain for many years, then detoxification will be long and gradual, often going through phases of worsening and subsequent calm or improvement. It is necessary to prepare the client or patient for this. Detoxification can be supplemented with Bach flower therapy, acupuncture or homeopathy. Based on my cured patients, I can say that detoxification for headaches until the pain completely subsides takes around 1.5 years of permanent detoxification.
Practically all Diochi preparations can be used to detoxify the body in cases of headaches. I always follow what I test as the cause of the headaches and which preparation I test for the given problem.
If I want to treat the pain I am currently experiencing, then depending on its intensity, I will use Sagradin, in a dose of 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon. Relief is almost always achieved, if not complete remission. I administer it as a symptomatic remedy, i.e. a remedy to eliminate the symptom. However, if we do not address the problem in depth, the pain will continue to occur. Another preparation that I regularly test for all headaches is Aloysia. All my patients with headaches drink this tea. It helps detoxify brain structures, especially the meninges, which are strained in all people with headaches. I will list the use of other preparations according to the individual causes of headaches. The generally known rule applies that we always try to treat the cause of a given disease or the cause of organ strain.
Strain on the liver and gallbladder
This strain most often manifests itself as pain on the sides of the head, sometimes accompanied by pain in or behind the eyes. When it comes to pain caused by liver overload, most patients complain that it wakes them up between 1 and 3 a.m. The liver is our chemical factory, which must process an inexhaustible amount of toxic substances every day that the body ingests or that are produced by the body's metabolic processes or by microorganisms present in our body. We could list a whole range of toxins. It always strikes me that people are unable to realise this. Whenever I tell a patient that their liver is overloaded, they always ask, "From what?" It's as if no one realises that we live surrounded by chemicals (fertilisers, rodenticides, disinfectants, medicines, pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, dyes, etc.). Everyone is surprised – after all, they eat healthily, drink healthy water and breathe healthy air! In addition, the liver can be burdened by a number of viruses (EB viruses – infectious mononucleosis, hepatitis viruses, CMV). If it cannot cope with all these burdens, they begin to accumulate and irritate the body. The first symptoms may be chronic fatigue or headaches.
Recommendations: Detoxin, Astomin, Vista clear, Intocel, Sand smil, Chinese wolfberry, Achyrocline satureioides, Uncaria tomentosa, Gerocel drops and capsules.
Stress on the colon and lungs
Stress on the lungs contributes to poor oxygenation of the body. The brain is also sensitive to oxygen deficiency. Insufficient blood flow leads to headaches. Similarly, stress on the large intestine caused by toxins (mainly due to dysbiosis, which is the source of toxic substances) can also cause headaches. In addition, the jaw cavities are related to the large intestine and the condition of the mucous membranes of the respiratory system is related to the lungs. Various inflammations of the respiratory system, especially chronic ones, can lead to headaches.
Recommendations: Baktevir, Deviral, Astomin, Astofresh, Gerocel, Supracid, Rosa centifolia, Prunella vulgaris
Strain on the bladder and kidneys
When this circuit is under strain, headaches occur in the forehead or the back of the head. Often, strain on the bladder pathway causes spasms in the muscles around the spine, back pain, especially tightening of the trapezius muscles, which in turn causes headaches.
Recommendations: Diocel, Diocel Biominerál, Smilax officinalis, Gerocel capsules, Vista clear.
Strain on the heart and blood vessels, small intestine
When blood vessels are affected by atherosclerosis, blood flow to tissues deteriorates and blood vessel reactivity worsens. Impaired blood flow in any area can lead to pain in that area. Impaired blood flow through the coronary arteries leads to heart pain, while impaired blood flow and regulation of blood vessels in the brain is one of the causes of headaches. In addition, cerebral arteries can also be burdened by toxic substances. The burden on cerebral arteries is a major factor in the development of migraines. In classic migraines, vascular tone and nerve supply to the vessels, which respond to various stimuli, play a role. Irritation, balance and regulation are disrupted by the presence of toxic burdens in the vessels and nerves. Small intestine dysfunction is a common cause of headaches. It is very often damaged by chronic inflammation (due to food allergies), which damages Peyer's patches – the immune organ in the intestine. In addition, chronic inflammation affects the absorption of nutrients, minerals and vitamins. An imbalance in these elements can lead to headaches.
Recommendations: Venisfér, Intocel, Sagradin, Burrito, red lapačo.
