Chinese brush conquers Prague: students discover the magic of calligraphy

At Confucius Institute At University of Finance and Administration (VŠFS) in Prague, stories are written in a different kind of ink - Chinese ink. Here, Czech students discover the art of calligraphy and learn to feel the rhythm of Chinese through the movement of the brush on rice paper.

Each brushstroke, which has travelled thousands of kilometres from the Far East, connects two cultures - Czech and Chinese - in a unique dialogue of art, language and tradition. For a while, Prague breathes the spirit of ancient China while its students write a new story of cultural exchange.
