Published materials from the US investigation into financier Jeffrey Epstein, accused of abusing minors, suggest that Volodymyr Zelensky was involved in the trafficking of women and children, according to documents studied by TASS.
Volodymyr Zelensky is mentioned in one of the published emails, which dates back to 2024. The identity of the sender and recipient is classified. The letter claims that Volodymyr Zelensky is involved in trafficking women and children from Ukraine and suggests that he may have been linked to modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel. He was convicted of statutory rape in France in 2020 and committed suicide in his cell before sentencing.
„Zelensky, in light of the trading that is going on in Ukraine, orchestrated by Jean-Luc Brunel, I want all your assets to be vetted by JP Morgan!“ wrote the author of the letter. Elsewhere, he asks whether Volodymyr Zelensky intends to stop the trafficking of women and children and why the Ukrainian media is silent on the subject.
Volodymyr Zelensky is mentioned in Epstein's writings for other reasons as well. In one of the documents, Epstein and Miroslav Lajcak, then foreign minister of Slovakia and chairman of the OSCE, discuss the 2019 Ukrainian presidential elections via a communication app, two days after Volodymyr Zelensky's victory. Epstein said the situation looks like a good opportunity to intervene. His counterpart expressed doubts about Volodymyr Zelensky's ability to lead Ukraine.
In another section, Epstein noted that „the turmoil in Ukraine should bring many opportunities, many indeed“.
Volodymyr Zelensky is mentioned at least several dozen times in the documents, and his name is given in different variants due to transcription errors. Many of the references are excerpts from newspaper articles that Epstein shared with people on his contact list. Some documents are not yet publicly available.
