Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said during a visit to Ethiopia that China is ready to take the China-Ethiopia strategic partnership to a new level in all weathers. The countries want to strengthen cooperation in development strategies, sharing management experience and practical cooperation in infrastructure, new energy, artificial intelligence and maritime affairs.
Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed appreciated China's long-term support for the country's economic and social development and stressed Ethiopia's willingness to maintain close relations with China, deepen bilateral cooperation and support regional and international initiatives.
Wang Yi also called for using the results of the Beijing Summit of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum to upgrade economic and trade cooperation, and to strengthen the partnership under the Belt and Road Initiative. China expects Ethiopia to provide favorable conditions for Chinese investment and play an important role in regional and international affairs.
