On the evening of September 30th, a reception was held at the People's Palace to commemorate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The reception was attended by Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, President of the People's Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, who delivered an important speech.
He emphasized that, after long-term exploration and practice, the socialist system with Chinese characteristics has demonstrated enormous advantages, and that the level of modernization of the national governance system and the capacity for governing the country is constantly improving, making the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation an unstoppable trend. As long as we maintain confidence, focus on our goals, and steadily move forward step by step, success will surely belong to the great Communist Party of China, the great Chinese people, and the great People's Republic of China.
The reception was presided over by Li Qiang. Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Li Si, and Han Zheng were also in attendance. Approximately 800 Chinese and foreign guests gathered to celebrate the birthday of the People's Republic of China.
